25 Things.

Tagged by dwhatever. I don’t usually do these, but today happens to be one of the longest and most boring days of my life thus far. So, 25 things about me:

1. I go through a gangsta rap phase every February, like clockwork. Last year’s actually lasted a couple of months beyond that, but usually it’s only for February. Not sure why.
2. I voted for George W. Bush in the 2004 election, with enthusiasm.
3. I had my first letter to the editor published in Focus On The Family’s Citizen magazine at age 14. I was mad because they wrote an entire article about how President Putin looked like the elf from Harry Potter.
4. I kind of hate wearing clothes. Not sure when that started, either.
5. TV shows I watch/have watched/am in the process of watching: The Office, LOST, 24, Gossip Girl, Six Feet Under, Dexter, Weeds, Fringe, Entourage, 30 Rock, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Prison Break, Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Heroes, The Wire, Eureka, and Flight Of The Conchords. Probably leaving some out.
6. I’ve been visible on the CBS Early Show twice and the CMT Awards once, standing next to Jeff Foxworthy, and a couple of times on local news. Also appeared briefly (read: maybe two frames) in a Barlow Girl music video, and more recently in some promo spot for the Southern Baptist Convention.
7. I’m seriously saving up for a Nintendo DSi.
8. I have a theory that most people with red hair probably give up on trying to fit in at a very young age, and I think it’s been good for me.
9. One time I didn’t have a job so Morgan and I started Nashvillest and now people sometimes read it.
10. My big actor crush is Gael Garcia Bernal. Despite watching that one movie where he crossdresses and runs around giving blowjobs. My other big actor crush is Malcolm McDowell, but now he’s old. That one borders on an obsession.
11. I have two birthmarks- One on the outside of my right thigh and one on the inside of my left knee. I used to hate them but now I’m pretty indifferent.
12. My phone ringtone is TI’s “Big Things Poppin’” and my alarm ringtone is the Numa Numa song.
13. I’ve moved 9 times in the past four years. Yay college.
14. I’m a die-hard Orioles fan (and have been since Kindergarten) who believes that maybe if I stick it out until I’m like 80, they’ll make it back into the World Series.
15. My top three tracks of all time according to last.fm are “Livin’ Your Life” by TI ft. Rhianna, “Hoppipolla” by Sigur Ros, and “Bed Is For Sleeping” by Bonnie Prince Billy and Matt Sweeney.
16. Since 2004, I’ve been making chronological yearly playlists that take me back through the year according to what I was listening to at that time.
17. My night vision really sucks, which I recently found out is probably because of my estigmatism. And because of it, I sort of hate driving at night.
18. If I printed out my Livejournal (which I’ve had since 2001), it would be over 2,000 pages.
19. Related, my first internet handle was “dorkfairy.” Origin unknown.
20. I have 138 Google Reader subscriptions not including my separate Nashvillest reader, and on a daily basis I read most of them.
21. My favorite desk toy is my homemade snowglobe with pictures of my cat Titus inside. Cute, right?
22. On a good day, I can put a spoon on my nose and move it into my mouth using only my tongue in under three seconds. Perfected this during history class in middle school.
23. I sleep on my right side with my pillows in an upside-down “L” shape, hugging the vertical one and laying my head on the overlapping square.
24. I still drive the same car I drove when I was 16, a silver ‘97 Nissan Sentra, which was a hand-me-down from my mom and brother.
25. Oh yeah, I have an older brother, Matt, who looks exactly like the boy version of me.
