After the Centresource mixer on Thursday night, I took a spontaneous drive downtown, found a parking space somehow and walked to the top of the Shelby Street pedestrian bridge to watch the sunset. I took a bunch of pictures (some of which I’ll stitch together into a panorama as soon as I can get the software to work), and this is one of the pictures. It occurred to me after looking at all the flood footage that this might be the prettiest and most peaceful that Nashville will look for a long time.
Sorry for all the bummed-out blog posts today. Although I feel incredibly fortunate that I didn’t lose anything, it bums me out to see my city hurting.

About

Sometimes I write things on Nashvillest.com and other times I work a real job that involves lots of airports, hotels, spreadsheets and the occasional pantsuit. Avid roadtripper, lover of redbud trees and firm believer in taking the scenic route. These are a few of my favorite things.

Ask me anything.
