December 20th Was Weird.

Things that happened today in chronological order (inspired by Nate B.):

I woke up and I went to Marché and ate some good food which included mushrooms and I was proud of myself for eating them. I came home and watched my Titans win and thought about taking a nap and then I took a nap. I joined some friends to help out with Room In The End at First Baptist downtown and being in a real church felt very strange. I walked to Mike’s for some Mexican hot chocolate and then I walked back to my car and I passed a homeless man passed out in his own urine on the corner of Sixth and Broadway. I heard some tourists calling 911. I kept walking and I went to Taco Mamacita and tried an elderflower mojito for the first time. I came home and did not cook myself a steak because I remembered the people at Room In The End who were excited about $5 McDonald’s gift cards and I felt bad—you’d think someone gave them a car. And then I had some hot buttered rum and I went to bed (but that part hasn’t happened yet.)

About

Sometimes I write things on Nashvillest.com and other times I work a real job that involves lots of airports, hotels, spreadsheets and the occasional pantsuit. Avid roadtripper, lover of redbud trees and firm believer in taking the scenic route. These are a few of my favorite things.

Ask me anything.
