And in a flurry of fireworks, live music, mimosas, friends both old and new, road trips and TV marathons, this vacation comes to a close.

Packing the suitcase and heading back to Long Island in the morning. Things I crossed off my bucket list in 2011:

  • Visit Matt and Miranda in NJ
  • Visit Marion in LA
  • Hang out with kindergarten BFF
  • Visit Bekah in San Antonio
  • Weekend in NYC
  • Weekend in Portland
  • See the Pacific Ocean
  • See the Alamo
  • Go to Scotland with Mom and Dad

Things I hope to cross off in 2012:

  • Take the train to Boston
  • See the Grand Canyon
  • Work from a mountain cabin for a few days
  • See the Chicago River turn green for St. Patrick’s Day
  • Visit Iceland
  • Go to another Orioles game
  • Visit kindergarten BFF in Florida
  • Road trip to New Orleans
