(by Daphne Kotsiani)
In the middle of the best live music week of my life, and I finally have a night to breathe. It’s raining outside and it’s starting to get cold. Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend and I’m dreading it a bit, but I’m determined not to let it get to me this year. Being miserable is a choice, even when it’s dark outside 15 hours a day.
Yesterday was Election Day and I don’t have enough room in my heart to be angry about politics. To be honest, I don’t even have the energy to keep up. Too many good things going on to get caught up in that kind of negativity. I live in a very red state and these things happen; just thankful I had a say even if the outcome was less than favorable.
Sufjan on Friday and Jónsi on Saturday, followed by a quiet and solitary six-hour drive home on Sunday. My heart is pretty full these days.
