Video: Bonnie “Prince” Billy - Quail and Dumplings

Will Oldham unveiled the first single off his forthcoming Bonnie “Prince” Billy LP, Wolfroy Goes to Town, today via the above Ben Berman-directed clip, in which past collaborator Kennan Gudjonsson is washed ashore a desert island before being nursed back to health by grass skirt-donning locals and sent back to sea on a makeshift raft. The biggest highlight though — both of the tune and video — is when Gudjonsson partner Nina Nastasia lip-syncs Angel Olsen’s lead vocal at the 1:55 mark. (Olsen’s solo music is excellent, as well.) “Quail and Dumplings” is available to download now along with a pair of non-album cuts.

Meanwhile, Fogged Clarity just published a second part to their interview with Oldham; a must-read for fans.
